According to the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), LGBT businesses contribute over $1.7 trillion dollars to the U.S. economy, creating tens of thousands of new jobs. As of 2016, Certified LGBT businesses owned by African Americans comprise only 4.3% of the national total. It’s time to change that.
