Working as an independent contractor or starting a micro-enterprise can be a viable alternative to working for an employer for transgender and non-binary people. In fact, a number of local transgender entrepreneurs have turned their businesses into thriving enterprises.

During this educational session, our trans-identified panelists will share stories from their entrepreneurial journeys, identify how they overcame obstacles and identified opportunities, and provide advice and recommendations to current or aspiring transgender entrepreneurs. Allies who want to learn more about how to support transgender business owners are welcome to attend.
